Your new role
As our new EHS and Compliance consultant, you will support clients in understanding, implementing and following up on environmental, occupational health and safety requirements. You will lead compliance audits and regulatory assessments of clients’ operations, practices and management systems, with a particular focus on industrial activities.

You will work with clients across sectors such as manufacturing, data centres, chemicals and energy. Your assignments may include assessing the practical implementation of regulatory requirements, including requirements related to the handling and storage of chemicals. You will identify compliance gaps, operational risks and opportunities for improvement, and translate your findings into clear reports and practical, actionable solutions. The role includes both independent assignments and multidisciplinary deliveries, giving you the opportunity to work with colleagues from different areas of expertise. You will also contribute to the development of Ramboll’s EHS management systems and compliance services, client relationships and market activities. Through Ramboll’s international professional network, you will have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and clients across countries and support global deliveries.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead EHS compliance audits and regulatory assessments for a variety of clients and industries
  • Identify compliance gaps, operational risks and opportunities for improvement, and translate findings into practical solutions
  • Assess how regulatory requirements are implemented in day-to-day operations, including the handling and storage of chemicals
  • Support the development and improvement of EHS management systems, risk assessments and compliance programmes
  • Deliver strategic advisory services on EHS compliance, risk management and organisational performance
  • Prepare audit reports, descriptions of non-conformities and specific recommendations for improvement
  • Contribute to tenders, client development and the continued development of Ramboll’s EHS and Compliance services
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Ramboll’s global professional network

About you

  • Relevant higher education in HSE, environmental studies, occupational health and safety, engineering, natural sciences or a similar field
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in EHS, HSE, compliance, auditing or management systems
  • Experience from industrial operations or assignments for industrial clients is desirable
  • Practical experience with implementing regulatory requirements, particularly requirements related to the handling and storage of chemicals, is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of relevant Norwegian legislation, with knowledge of EU legislation considered an advantage
  • Experience with standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is desirable
  • Experience in conducting audits, reviews or assessments and communicating findings clearly and constructively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
