We are now recruiting for a:                         

                 Medical Scientist/Senior Biomedical Scientist in Haematology

We are currently seeking to recruit a Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology  team at the Eurofins Biomnis laboratory in Sandyford, Dublin. Job Description

The Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist in Haematology will be responsible for organisation of workload, prioritising tasks to ensure the effective running of the Haematology Department. Working closely with and supporting Senior Scientists, Chief Scientist and The Laboratory Operations Director, on issues related to the department. The Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist in Haematology will be assisting in the organisation of workload, prioritising tasks to ensure the effective running of the Haematology Department. Working closely with and supporting The Chief Medical/Biomedical Scientist and The Laboratory Operations Director, on issues related to the department. Supporting colleagues within the department. Whilst authorising results, ensuring result accuracy at all times. Contributing to the monitoring, recording and investigations for non-conformances and audits. Contributing to the monitoring and recording of complaints and investigations of clinical complaints, taking corrective action as appropriate. Working with colleagues to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department. Participating in the development and maintenance of the ISO 15189 quality management system which is patient centered, and ensures quality focused results are provided for patient care and to assist in the Total Quality Improvement of the department.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Science

Required licences / certifications or membership

  • CORU registered as Medical Scientist

                               or

  • HCPC registered as Biomedical Scientist

Experience

  •    Relevant experience in a multidisciplinary medical laboratory ideally in Haematology

  • A diligent, strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative to ensure an outstanding laboratory service.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proven team player who will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team of dedicated professionals.
