The Opportunity:

We are seeking a VP of Finance to help lead and scale our Finance organization. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will strengthen our working capital management, financial systems and processes, operational finance capabilities, and broader Finance and Accounting organization.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong accounting foundation who thinks beyond Accounting. The ideal candidate is highly systems- and process-oriented, develops strong teams and leaders, partners effectively with Operations, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to solve complex problems when needed.

What You’ll Own:

Working Capital, Cash & Treasury

  • Partner with the CFO on cash forecasting, liquidity, treasury, and working-capital management.

  • Develop forward-looking visibility into cash requirements across inventory, AR, AP, and vendor payments.

  • Drive improvements in cash conversion cycle, inventory investment, collections, payment timing, and vendor terms.

  • Translate operating plans and business decisions into their impact on cash and working capital.

Financial Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive improvements across Finance systems and processes, with NetSuite as the core ERP.

  • Partner cross-functionally to improve transaction accuracy at the source, strengthen controls, and eliminate recurring manual work.

  • Leverage automation, technology, and AI to build scalable financial processes and identify issues earlier.

  • Develop processes that allow Finance to scale efficiently as the business grows.

Inventory, Cost Accounting & Operations

  • Provide senior leadership over inventory, COGS, and product costing and develop the existing Inventory/Cost Accounting function.

  • Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain to improve inventory accuracy, costing, fulfillment, and the processes connecting operational activity to financial results.

  • Provide expertise across 3PLs, co-manufacturing, EDI, fulfillment, trade spend, deductions, chargebacks, landed costs, and cost variances.

  • Identify root causes of inventory and costing issues and drive sustainable system and process improvements.

Accounting, Tax & Controls

  • Provide senior oversight of financial reporting and month-end close while developing and empowering existing Accounting leadership.

  • Oversee audit, tax compliance, accounting policies, and internal controls.

  • Improve the accuracy, speed, and predictability of financial reporting while creating greater accountability throughout the month.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience with strong people leadership, hiring, and team-development experience.

  • Strong understanding of working capital, cash forecasting, liquidity, and treasury.

  • Strong NetSuite experience with demonstrated success improving financial systems and processes.

  • Deep inventory and cost accounting experience in an inventory-intensive business.

  • Experience with retail fulfillment, EDI, trade spend, deductions, accruals, 3PLs, and related operational accounting.

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Operations and Supply Chain.

  • Strong technical accounting foundation with experience overseeing close, audit, tax, compliance, and internal controls.

  • CPA and/or Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in CPG, food & beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or another inventory-intensive business strongly preferred.

Success means better visibility and control over cash and working capital, scalable Finance systems and processes, stronger inventory and costing accuracy, a predictable close, and a Finance organization with strong leaders capable of taking on increasing responsibility as the company grows.
