About the RoleWe are seeking a Manager, Supplier Industrialization Engineering, Chassis Suspension & Structures to lead a global team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers and Leads responsible for driving supplier readiness, manufacturing excellence, and launch success across critical chassis systems.
This highly visible leadership role will be responsible for developing supplier industrialization strategies, building a high-performing global team, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure innovative designs can be successfully manufactured without compromising quality, reliability, or execution timing.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading global supplier industrialization organizations, developing supplier capability strategies, managing complex product launches, and driving continuous improvement across high-volume automotive manufacturing operations. This role requires frequent interaction with suppliers and Lucid teams across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
What You'll Own Supplier Industrialization Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute supplier industrialization strategies and roadmaps for Chassis Suspension and Structures commodities.
- Establish organizational goals, metrics, and operational plans aligned with broader company objectives.
- Lead regular business reviews to evaluate supplier readiness, launch status, manufacturing risks, and industrialization effectiveness.
- Drive escalation management, risk mitigation planning, and executive-level communications for critical supplier issues.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing global team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers and technical leads.
- Build technical expertise across chassis suspension and structural commodities while ensuring appropriate coverage and support for ongoing programs.
- Establish performance goals, OKRs, and development plans that promote accountability, growth, and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular performance, development, and career planning discussions with team members.
- Lead supplier industrialization efforts supporting new product introduction and vehicle launch activities.
- Partner closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Corporate Quality teams.
- Oversee supplier assessments, manufacturing feasibility reviews, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A) reviews, APQP execution, and PPAP approvals.
- Ensure suppliers are fully prepared to support launch timing, quality targets, and volume ramp requirements.
- Build strong supplier partnerships focused on quality, delivery, process capability, and operational excellence.
- Analyze supplier performance data, identify trends, and implement improvement initiatives across the supply base.
- Lead supplier risk assessments and mitigation strategies to minimize launch and production disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement using data-driven decision-making and industry best practices.
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier manufacturing and quality issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with plant quality, manufacturing, materials planning, logistics, warehousing, and supplier quality teams to minimize production interruptions.
- Establish sustainable supplier processes that support long-term quality and manufacturing performance throughout mass production.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, manufacturing innovations, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the voice of Supplier Industrialization for Chassis Suspension and Structures commodities.
- Prepare and present supplier performance, launch status, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, supplier industrialization, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or related functions.
- 8+ years of experience supporting chassis suspension and structural systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience managing Supplier Industrialization Engineers, technical leads, or similar engineering organizations.
- Deep understanding of supplier industrialization methodologies including:
- APQP
- PPAP
- FMEA
- MSA
- SPC
- GD&T
- DFM/A
- IATF 16949
- ISO-based quality systems
- Demonstrated experience conducting supplier audits, process assessments, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
- Strong program management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75% globally.
- Experience supporting one or more of the following chassis commodities:
- Axle Assemblies
- Subframes
- Control Arms
- Control Links
- Stabilizer Bars and Links
- Dampers
- Coil Springs
- Struts
- Air Suspension Systems
- Previous greenfield manufacturing or factory launch experience.
- Electric vehicle startup experience.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Certifications such as:
- PMP
- Lead Auditor
- ASQ Certification
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA, and Tableau.
This position requires global collaboration across suppliers and Lucid facilities. The successful candidate must be comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures while supporting supplier operations throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Travel requirements are expected to range from 25% to 75%, depending on program phase, supplier readiness activities, and launch support needs.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Base Pay Range (Annual) $124,800—$183,040 USD
Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
