Job Description

We’re looking for a creative Content Creator to join John Crane and help transform complex engineering, technology and customer challenges into compelling visual stories.

This is a hands-on creative role at the intersection of engineering, technology, content and commercial growth. You’ll create the videos, animations, visualisations and sales content that help our global sales teams and channel partners explain what our technology does, why it matters and the value it creates for customers.

You’ll work directly with engineers, product experts, sales teams and marketers around the world, taking technical concepts and turning them into content that is clear, engaging and visually powerful.

From developing 2D and 3D animations and product visualisations to creating video, sales presentations, case studies and digital content, you’ll have the opportunity to tell the stories behind technologies used in some of the world’s most demanding industrial applications.

And you won’t simply be responding to briefs. You’ll help shape what we create, how we create it and how content is used to support our commercial teams globally.

What you’ll do

You’ll own content from initial idea through to final delivery and optimisation. Working closely with Sales, Channel, Product Marketing, Engineering, Training and Digital teams, you will:

  • Turn engineering into stories: work with technical and product specialists to translate complex technologies into clear, customer-focused narratives.

  • Create standout visual content: develop video, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics and product visualisations, including working with CAD-based models and engineering data.

  • Lead creative production: take projects from concept, scripting and storyboarding through visualisation, production, sound design and final delivery.

  • Enable our sales teams: create presentations, demo videos, product collateral, case studies, playbooks and other content that helps our teams communicate customer value.

  • Support our channel partners: develop co-brandable marketing and sales materials, alongside onboarding, training and certification content.

  • Shape the content roadmap: help determine what content we need based on business priorities, product activity, campaigns and growth opportunities.

  • Use technology intelligently: explore generative AI and emerging creative technologies to accelerate production, localisation and visual development while maintaining quality and appropriate governance.

  • Measure what works: use analytics and feedback to understand how content is being used and continually improve its effectiveness.

  • Raise the creative bar: champion strong storytelling, design quality and consistency across sales and partner-facing content globally.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who combines creative thinking with the ability to understand technical subjects and make them accessible.

  • Strong experience in content creation, creative production, marketing or an in-house creative environment.

  • Excellent animation and motion graphics capability using tools such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender or 3ds Max.

  • Strong video editing, graphic design and visual communication skills across Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Experience creating compelling presentations and visual storytelling in PowerPoint.

  • The ability to take complex technical information and turn it into engaging commercial content.

  • Experience working with engineers, product specialists or other technical subject matter experts.

  • Experience using generative AI and emerging creative tools to enhance content development and production.

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams, regions and priorities.
