About the Role

Most new bets don't fail. They just never get killed. You'll make sure every one ends in a decision.

Fundraise Up is investing in a Lab to explore new product lines and step-change growth opportunities. The Lab runs like a small startup inside the company, turning ambiguous opportunities into shipped pilots and clear investment decisions. As the Lab's first and only permanent owner, you'll personally drive discovery, experimentation and early delivery with Engineering and Design. You'll make explicit Scale, Iterate, Pivot or Kill calls based on evidence. This is a senior individual contributor role with real authority to pursue high-impact bets, and a clear expectation to kill bad ideas early.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Lab portfolio. Build and run a single, visible, prioritised portfolio. Every bet has a clear hypothesis, expected upside, effort, dependencies, owner and next decision point.
  • Set a repeatable prioritisation method. Weigh signals, confidence, upside, GTM dependency and effort so bets are chosen on evidence, not enthusiasm.
  • Design experiments that can fail cleanly. Name the riskiest assumptions for each bet and set explicit kill criteria before you start. Deliver a 4–8 week experiment plan in your first months.
  • Run fast and ship just enough. Use spikes, prototypes, Wizard of Oz tests and pilots to learn quickly without overbuilding. Instrument every pilot to capture meaningful signals.
  • Make the call. Turn outcomes into crisp Scale, Iterate, Pivot or Kill decisions, with no zombie projects. Keep lightweight decision logs and learning summaries so leadership and GTM stay aligned.
  • Secure the team per bet. Engineering and Design support is assigned on demand, so make it explicit for each top-priority initiative and set a working cadence.
  • Get ahead of GTM. Coordination with GTM is usually the hardest part. Flag dependencies early (positioning, enablement, pricing, legal, support) and drive alignment across teams.
  • Hand over winners cleanly. When the signal is strong, package what was validated, the evidence, remaining risks, success metrics and a recommended scaling plan.
  • Work AI-native. At Fundraise Up, AI is a default tool, not an experimental one. We expect every team member to use AI actively in their day-to-day work, spot where AI can change the shape of problems in their function, and grow their fluency as the tools evolve. In the Lab, that means using AI for research, synthesis, prototyping and analysis to move faster, while keeping judgement sharp.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Senior PM experience in 0→1, incubation or new bets, or an equivalent track record
  • Strong product judgement and technical fluency: you write specs and reason about feasibility, trade-offs, instrumentation and data needs
  • A proven record of running fast, scrappy experiments and moving from ambiguity to decisions
  • Comfort as the driver, with minimal delegation and maximum ownership
  • Strong written communication: concise decision logs, learning summaries and alignment artifacts
  • Practical use of AI as leverage for research, synthesis, prototyping and analysis
  • Fluent written and spoken English [TO CONFIRM]

Nice to Have

  • Launching early-stage products into market with measurable adoption or revenue signals
  • Working closely with GTM teams on positioning, enablement and early go-to-market motion
You'll Thrive Here If You…
  • Would rather kill a bet in week three than defend it in month six
  • Structure your own specs, experiments and execution without waiting for someone else to
  • Enjoy ambiguity and fast changes of direction more than stable roadmaps and long planning cycles
  • Value clear thinking over looking busy
  • Say the uncomfortable thing early, especially to GTM and leadership
  • Get energy from real customers, real data and real constraints
  • Ship the smallest thing that answers the question
  • Want ownership, with the authority to match
Compensation
  • The compensation range for this role is $4,600 - $5,300 gross.
  • Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, alignment with the role’s requirements and location.
Perks & Benefits
  • 31 days of paid time off
  • 100% paid telemedicine plan
  • Home office setup assistance
  • English learning courses
  • Professional education budget
  • Gym or swimming pool membership
  • Co-working support
  • Fully remote work
