But what truly sets us apart? Our people. We're a team of curious, optimistic and courageous individuals who collaborate to make life better for more Australians. We value authenticity, and agility, and we believe in creating an environment where you can do your best work, grow your career, and feel part of something meaningful.
If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, where innovation is celebrated, and where you can help shape a brighter financial future, join us at Netwealth.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the General Manager, Regulatory Engagement and Dispute Resolution, you’ll coordinate and administer regulator interactions and contentious matters across the group. You’ll maintain matters in Protecht, track owners and deadlines, prepare reporting and support the collation of accurate, well-controlled response packs.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work. You won’t be expected to make legal or reportability decisions. Instead, you’ll create the coordination, visibility and discipline that help authorised decision-makers and business owners meet their responsibilities.
In this role, you will
Log and maintain regulatory interactions in Protecht, including notices, information requests, enquiries, supervisory engagements, reportable situations and breach notifications.
Record owners, deadlines, commitments, correspondence and supporting evidence accurately and promptly.
Coordinate inputs from business teams, Executives, Legal, Risk, Compliance and trustee stakeholders.
Track actions and commitments, following up owners with tact and persistence.
Identify deadlines, delays and emerging issues that require early escalation.
Assist with collating, version-controlling and lodging regulatory response packs.
Prepare dashboards, status reports and data extracts covering open matters, deadlines, overdue actions and commitment closure.
Support the administration of litigation and contentious matters, including legal hold notices, document collection and external counsel invoices.
Maintain consistent, audit-ready records and appropriately handle confidential and legally privileged material.
Help improve templates, workflows, reporting and Protecht configuration.
You are highly organised and comfortable managing several matters at once without losing sight of important details. You communicate clearly, follow through reliably and can respectfully hold stakeholders to agreed actions and deadlines.
You understand that good regulatory coordination depends on accurate records, careful handling of information and early escalation. You also recognise the boundaries of a coordination role and know when a matter needs to be referred to an authorised legal, risk or compliance decision-maker.
About you:
Expertise in risk, compliance, legal, regulatory or governance support, ideally in Australian financial services with experience maintaining registers, workflows or matter-management systems.
Experience preparing regular management reports, dashboards or status updates with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Clear written communication and confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels. including strong Excel and Microsoft 365 capability.
Integrity, discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
Exposure to ASIC or APRA requests, breach reporting, regulatory engagements or incident processes.
Familiarity with Protecht or another governance, risk and compliance platform.
Experience in wealth management, superannuation or investment platforms.
A qualification in law, commerce, business, risk or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
If the opportunity interests you but you don’t meet every preferred criterion, we encourage you to apply. Relevant coordination, governance and matter-management experience can come from several different environments.
