Job Description

Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineering (Spare Part Inventory Management)  is responsible for leading the effective management of maintenance spare parts inventory to ensure equipment reliability, minimize production downtime, and optimize inventory costs. This role oversees end-to-end spare parts planning, procurement coordination, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the plant-wide management of maintenance spare parts to ensure equipment reliability and uninterrupted production. 

  • Oversee inventory planning, stock optimization, and consumption analysis to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock. 

  • Coordinate end-to-end spare parts procurement, including demand planning, purchase requisitions, supplier follow-up, delivery, and repair services. 

  • Prepare quarterly spare parts demand forecasts and support maintenance shutdown, turnaround, and project planning activities. 

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock audits, discrepancy investigations, and corrective actions. 

  • Monitor and analyze inventory performance indicators, including stock availability, inventory turnover, carrying costs, and forecast accuracy. 

  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives related to spare parts management, inventory control, and supplier performance. 

  • Manage spare parts scrapping and disposal activities through the e-Scrap system in compliance with company policies and procedures. 

  • Ensure accurate inventory records and compliance with company standards, audit requirements, and ERP/mSPIM system processes. 

  • Supervise and develop the inventory team while fostering cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence, and a culture of safety and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's Degree  in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in maintenance spare parts, warehouse, inventory, or MRO materials management within a manufacturing environment. 

Preferred :

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred. 

  • Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle) or other planning software, demand forecasting, inventory management and production scheduling. 

Skills :

  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, procurement processes, and warehouse operations.
