WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

As a Category Buyer, you will be part of our Home & Living purchasing area, internally referred to as Homeware.

You will work with a broad and inspiring range of products that help our customers decorate, personalise and create a welcoming atmosphere in their homes. The assortment includes products such as decoration, lighting, candles, vases, lanterns, plant pots, frames, artificial flowers and plants, as well as seasonal products – including our Christmas assortment.

You will play an important role in developing attractive, competitive and commercially strong assortments for our customers across more than 30 countries. Working closely with suppliers and colleagues across JYSK, you will contribute to both the ongoing development of the assortment and the performance of your categories.

You can expect approximately 20 travel days per year.

Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:

  • Monitoring and analysing product performance and preparing reports
  • Conducting competitor surveillance and ensuring competitive global prices
  • Developing and optimising product assortments
  • Identifying market trends and opportunities within Home & Living
  • Working closely with suppliers on product development and assortment optimisation
  • Collaborating with suppliers, colleagues and cross-functional teams across JYSK
  • Supporting ongoing improvements in quality, functionality, design and commercial appeal
  • Contributing to the development of seasonal assortments, including Christmas
  • Supporting the overall commercial performance and development of your categories

This position is designed for someone with the drive and potential to grow into a future Category Manager role.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

We are looking for a new colleague who:

  • Holds a relevant degree at Bachelor's or Master's level
  • Has some years of experience as a buyer and a strong interest in purchasing, products, design, quality and functionality
  • Has solid Excel skills and confidence working with IT systems, with an openness to learning new tools
  • Has a structured and analytical mindset and feels comfortable working with numbers and data
  • Has a high attention to detail and can thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Takes a commercial approach and enjoys working with products and assortments
  • Has a collaborative approach with strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in Danish and English, both spoken and written
  • Is curious about market trends and understand what makes a product relevant and attractive to customers
