Why You’ll Love This Role

If you enjoy practical outdoor work and taking pride in well-presented public spaces, this role puts you at the heart of Stirling’s streetscape maintenance. You’ll work in a small team to care for landscaped areas, trees, shrubs and turf across the community.

You’ll also build your versatility by operating minor plant, supporting safe worksites and rotating across horticultural services as part of a multi-skilled team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain streetscapes to agreed horticultural service standards
  • Prune, plant, mulch and maintain trees and shrubs
  • Maintain turf, flower beds and landscaped areas
  • Control weeds and pests using approved treatments
  • Operate and maintain minor plant safely and efficiently
  • Report faults, damage and landscape condition issues promptly
  • Support safe traffic controls around worksites
  • Participate in toolbox meetings and team rotations

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a practical, safety-focused team member with recent gardening experience in amenity horticulture. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Year 10 Certificate or equivalent education
  • Recent gardening experience in amenity horticulture
  • Current unrestricted C Class driver’s licence
  • Strong safety awareness and safe work practices
  • Understanding of horticultural plant operator maintenance
  • Clear active listening and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation desirable
