What you'll bring

You have advanced software engineering skills and solid hands-on experience with AI and ML techniques in cloud-native environments.

  • Advanced Python proficiency and hands-on experience in at least one cloud-native development environment.

  • Strong experience with large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agent-based workflows, and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines, machine learning operations (MLOps), or integrating AI/ML models into application contexts.

  • Solid awareness of cloud platforms — AWS, Azure, or GCP — and tools such as Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Awareness with SAP AI technologies such as SAP AI Core or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is a plus.

In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and facilitating adoption of AI practices within their teams.

What you'll build

You'll lead and contribute to the design, development, and operation of AI-native enterprise applications within customer-embedded delivery teams.

  • Lead development of cloud-native applications integrating LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agent-based components.

  • Work within customer projects and cross-functional teams, building deep awareness of business processes and customer needs.

  • Implement features and integrations individually, guide other engineers when needed, and maintain code quality and engineering standards.

  • Lead prototyping and iteration of AI solutions in customer environments, adapting to feedback and evolving requirements.

  • Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions to raise engineering quality across the team.

  • Own monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement of deployed solutions to ensure reliability and stability.
