Role Overview

Lab49 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PMO Analyst to support the successful delivery of strategic technology and transformation initiatives. The PMO Analyst will play a key role in driving project governance, integrated planning, reporting, risk management, resource coordination, and delivery controls across complex programs.

This role requires strong stakeholder management, analytical skills, and the ability to provide transparency into project performance, dependencies, risks, and milestones while supporting delivery teams and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Capability Building and Operating Model 

  • Help design, establish, and mature a scalable PMO operating model covering governance, integrated planning, reporting, financial controls, resource management, risk management, and delivery assurance. 
  • Establish common delivery metrics and dashboards that give leadership a clear view of progress, risks, dependencies, capacity, quality, and financial performance. 
  • Create reusable playbooks for discovery, mobilization, execution, release readiness, stabilization, and program closure. 

End-to-End Delivery Management 

  • Support delivery from initial discovery and mobilization through planning, execution, release, stabilization, and closure. 
  • Maintain an end-to-end view across business, product, design, architecture, engineering, quality engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and operations. 
  • Identify sequencing issues, delivery gaps, conflicting priorities, and cross-team dependencies before they affect critical milestones. 
  • Drive ownership of actions and decisions, ensuring unresolved items are escalated with clear impact assessments and recommended options. 
  • Conduct delivery health checks, provide an independent evidence-based view of status, and support recovery planning for at-risk workstreams. 
  • Coordinate distributed teams and stakeholders across regions, functions, and partner organizations. 

 

AI-Enabled Delivery and PMO

  • Use approved AI capabilities to improve the speed and quality of planning, reporting, meeting synthesis, dependency analysis, knowledge retrieval, and management communications. 
  • Ensure AI use complies with firm’s confidentiality, data-protection, information-security, and responsible-use requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive PMO activities such as status consolidation, action tracking, document classification, and governance-pack preparation. 

 

Governance and Executive Communication

 

  • Prepare concise executive updates that clearly distinguish progress, risks, decisions required, implications, and recommended actions. 
  • Maintain accurate records of decisions, commitments, actions, and escalations. 
  • Prepare and maintain governance materials, status reports, steering committee packs, and executive dashboards.
  • Monitor project progress against agreed milestones and provide delivery traceability and reporting.

 

Integrated Planning, Risks, and Dependencies 

 

  • Own or coordinate integrated planning across multiple workstreams and delivery organizations. 
  • Establish dependency-management practices that identify upstream and downstream impacts across product, technology, operations, and third parties. 
  • Facilitate RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) management and ensure timely escalation of delivery risks and blockers.

 

Financial, Commercial, and Resource Management

  • Support program budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance analysis. 
  • Maintain visibility into team capacity, onboarding, allocation, role requirements, and forward demand. 
  • Connect resource plans with delivery milestones, critical skills, and workstream priorities. 
  • Support commercial tracking across statements of work, deliverables, milestones, change requests, and client commitments. 
  • Identify potential scope, timeline, or cost impacts early and support structured change-control discussions. 
  • Provide forward-looking views of capacity gaps and delivery constraints rather than relying only on retrospective reporting. 

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in PMO, project governance, delivery management, program controls, or related technology-delivery roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience independently owning PMO workstreams and building or improving delivery-governance practices within complex technology programs. 
  • Experience with RAID management, integrated planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, governance forums, and executive reporting. 
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders in a fast-paced consulting environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting technology delivery programs within financial services, capital markets, banking, or fintech organizations.
  • Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with financial tracking, resource planning, and executive reporting.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certifications.

  • Participate in mandatory security awareness and compliance training.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory, contractual, and information security obligations.
