Company Description

Join us. But be you. At Deloitte, you’ll do more than just join something, you’ll add something.  You’ve found a place that values your curiosity, passion, and desire to work alongside brilliant people on the things that really matter. There really is only one question: What impact do YOU want to make?

Passionate about helping organisations adopt AI safely, responsibly and at scale?

Join our Trustworthy AI team in Auckland as a Consultant or Senior Consultant!

The team you'll join

AI is changing how organisations operate, innovate and create value. However, realising these opportunities requires confidence that AI systems are governed, managed and monitored in a way that is trustworthy, responsible and aligned with organisational objectives.

Our Trustworthy AI team helps clients design, implement and mature the governance, risk management and oversight practices needed to adopt AI safely and effectively. We work with clients across a range of industries to address complex challenges relating to AI governance, model risk, AI evaluation and testing, regulatory expectations, and operational oversight.

Our team brings together expertise in AI, data, risk, regulation and governance. We help organisations move beyond high-level principles by translating AI risks into practical controls, operating models, governance frameworks and monitoring approaches that enable innovation while managing risk. We also support clients to evaluate the trustworthiness of AI systems through model evaluation, testing and validation activities, helping organisations understand whether AI solutions are performing as intended and operating within acceptable risk thresholds. As AI technologies continue to evolve, we work closely with clients to build sustainable capabilities for responsible AI adoption over the long term.

Job Description

The impact you'll make

  • Trustworthy AI Implementation: Support organisations to operationalise trustworthy AI principles across the AI lifecycle. Help design accountability structures, policies, standards and control frameworks that enable the safe development, deployment and use of AI systems.

  • AI Trustworthiness & Evaluation: Help organisations understand whether their AI systems are performing as intended and operating within acceptable risk thresholds. Support the design and execution of evaluation, testing and validation activities covering model performance, bias, explainability, robustness and other key trust considerations.

  • AI Strategy, Risk & Governance: Help organisations identify and manage AI-related risks while enabling innovation and business value. Support clients to build practical governance frameworks, operating models, accountability structures and decision-making processes that promote responsible AI adoption.

  • AI Risk Management: Work with clients to assess AI use cases, model types and associated risk drivers. Translate AI risks into practical requirements, controls and risk treatments that can be embedded within business and technology processes.

  • AI Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Assist clients in establishing monitoring and oversight approaches for AI systems, including model performance, drift, bias, incidents and control effectiveness. Help organisations use insights and metrics to improve governance and risk management practices over time.

  • Client Engagement & Trusted Advice: Build strong relationships with clients and work alongside business, risk and technology teams to solve complex challenges. Communicate AI opportunities, risks and governance considerations in a way that supports informed decision-making.

  • Team & Practice Development: Contribute to the growth of our Trustworthy AI practice through high-quality delivery and support for business development activities. Support the development of methodologies, assets, propositions and market-facing content that strengthen Deloitte's Trustworthy AI capabilities and client offerings.
