  • Manage inspection budgets and schedules; monitor project progress against scope.
  • Coordinate directly with on-site Construction Managers, architects, and engineers of record to resolve field issues and confirm inspection requirements.
  • Review field inspection reports for code compliance and technical accuracy; ensure all required inspections are completed and properly documented.
  • Maintain a log of work in-progress and incomplete work.
  • Attend field and project meetings as necessary; represent SOCOTEC/AEG at client meetings and industry events.
  • Work with the team to invoice projects monthly.
  • Advise Director if Change Orders are required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (Pennsylvania licensure, or ability to obtain PA licensure/reciprocity, required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline required.
  • Significant experience in special inspections, with demonstrated proficiency in plan and specification review.
  • Strong working knowledge of IBC Chapter 17 and the Pennsylvania Building Code; familiarity with Philadelphia L&I special inspection requirements a plus.

  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
