Role Description:

The CT Technician based in Weirton, WV will perform a vital role as a hands-on quality team member at Form Energy. You will operate industrial 3D CT scanning equipment to inspect materials and components using non-destructive testing methods. Set up and adjust X-ray system parameters, including tube settings and detector configurations, to obtain clear and accurate scan results. Prepare and secure test samples using custom fixtures to ensure proper positioning during scanning. Inspect radiographs, reconstruct CT volumes, and identify internal features and material defects. Perform dimensional inspections to engineering drawings and CAD models. Document test results, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Conduct routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot problems with electrical, mechanal, and computer systems.



What You’ll Do:

  • Operate X-ray and industrial 3D CT scanners by loading and unloading samples

  • Identify defects in reconstructed volumes

  • Inspect part dimensions to specifications in engineering drawings and CAD models

  • Compile reports and present findings to cross functional teams

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshoot problems with electrical, mechanal, and computer systems

  • Execute additional metrology and testing methods to support manufacturing control plans, as necessary

  • Perform 5S activities to ensure the metrology lab and associated metrology equipment is clean, organized, and prepared to provide precise and accurate results

  • Follow all Form Safe best practices including completion of Job Hazard Analyses, as necessary

What You’ll Bring:

  • Background in complex inspection systems, such as X-Ray, laser, vision, imaging, CMM, and/or CT.

  • Familiarity with GD&T is a plus; training will be provided for candidates without prior experience

  • Ability to work in both a fast-paced manufacturing environment and a highly specialized lab setting

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Willingness to learn new skills and provide continuous improvement feedback to engineers and managers

Where you'll work:

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing.
