Sutherland is continuously looking for talented Software Developers / Programmers to join our growing technology teams. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and enhancing applications that drive operational excellence and business transformation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions while leveraging modern development practices and technologies.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, tools, and system enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software quality and security.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, project managers, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services as needed.
- Optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and development procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as:
- Java
- Python
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- C#
- C++
- PHP
- Strong understanding of software development principles and SDLC methodologies.
- Experience using version control tools such as Git.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with web application development and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, .NET, Spring Boot, Node.js, etc.).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment tools.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and application security best practices.
