Job Description

A Day in the Life 

  • The HTM Imaging Specialist supports the maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment across Munson Healthcare. This role requires a strong foundation in biomedical/imaging equipment service, electronics, imaging service, military or factory technical training, OEM training, or related hands-on technical service work. The position supports equipment performance, patient and staff safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable clinical operations while developing additional expertise across imaging modalities.

  • Works closely with Radiology, clinical teams, HTM colleagues, OEMs, and third-party service providers to resolve equipment issues, reduce downtime, document service activity, and support safe, effective patient care.

Qualifications

What’s Required  

  • Associate’s degree in biomedical technology or electronics technology OR be military or factory trained in radiology equipment service.  
  • 2 years experience in biomedical equipment repair, imaging service, electronics repair, field service, or related hands-on technical service work.
  • OEM Training, Independent Imaging Training, or Modality-Specific Imaging Service Training - Required or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
  • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) preferred 
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical systems, use common electrical test equipment, follow technical documentation, and document work accurately in a CMMS.
  • Experience servicing imaging equipment such as general radiology/fluoroscopy, portable units, C-arms, digital X-ray detectors, mammography, CT, MRI, DSA, nuclear medicine, cardiac catheterization labs, ultrasound, or imaging systems networking preferred.
