Job Description

As a Cleaning Team Leader, you will oversee the provision of cleanliness across the office, assess and develop staff performance to support the Company’s operation in Manchester.

The Facilities team delivers immaculate, safe and functional workspaces across all sites to keep daily business running at its best. This role focuses on leading evening cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and keeping our facilities immaculate for all colleagues.

Guiding a dedicated evening team, this position oversees shift productivity, coaches individual performance, and ensures full compliance with Health and Safety standards and COSHH regulations.

Working hours are Monday to Friday between 5pm and 11pm.

Qualifications
  • Proven track record in commercial or industrial cleaning
  • Comprehensive understanding of COSHH regulations, PPE requirements and Health and Safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a cleaning team
  • Assertive approach to managing performance and setting achievable objectives
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing equipment and stock control
  • Competent IT skills for reporting and administrative duties
Additional Information
  • Oversee evening cleaning operations to ensure workspaces meet our exacting cleanliness standards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, briefing sessions and objective setting with team members
  • Manage weekly stock checks and coordinate equipment maintenance
  • Enforce strict adherence to COSHH regulations, PPE guidelines and safe chemical handling
  • Review cleaning practices across the facilities to drive continuous improvement
  • Report operational challenges and building maintenance needs directly to line manager
  • Support the onboarding and practical training of new team members
