Job Description

Overall Purpose of Job:

As a Inside Sales Management Specialist, you will be a key member of the Global Pricing Sales Team, responsible for pricing-related activities across KOSTAL's product portfolio and throughout the complete product lifecycle, from acquisition to EOP.

The position has a strong analytical and commercial focus and is responsible for the preparation, maintenance and controlling of pricing information and commercial calculations. The role provides the analytical foundation for pricing decisions, customer negotiations and internal commercial management.

The position works closely with Sales, Key Account Management, Finance, Controlling, Purchasing, Product Management, R&D and other relevant functions to ensure that pricing is accurate, transparent, commercially justified and consistently maintained.

Due to the cross-product and lifecycle-wide scope of responsibility, the role requires a high degree of independent ownership, analytical capability, commercial understanding and attention to detail. The position also contributes to pricing negotiations and is expected to communicate and present pricing-related analyses and recommendations to relevant stakeholders when required.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for global pricing activities across the KOSTAL product portfolio, covering the complete product lifecycle from acquisition to EOP.
  • Prepare and maintain price calculations for new generic parts, ensuring that pricing is based on accurate cost information, defined commercial assumptions and applicable pricing guidelines.
  • Perform price recalculations for serial parts based on changes in costs, volumes, specifications, customer requirements and other relevant commercial drivers.
  • Prepare comprehensive pricing analyses and negotiation packages to support Sales and Key Account Management in customer price negotiations.
  • Prepare and coordinate generic CBD (Cost Breakdown) calculations, ensuring transparency and consistency of underlying cost structures.
  • Manage and maintain generic capacity and replacement tool calculations, including analysis of their commercial impact on product pricing.
  • Perform price controlling and proactively identify deviations, inconsistencies, risks and opportunities within the pricing portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate and timely price maintenance in relevant systems and databases throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Take responsibility for IC Pricing activities and ensure appropriate calculation, maintenance and coordination of intercompany pricing.
  • Analyze pricing data, cost developments, volumes and other commercial parameters to identify trends and support business decisions.
  • Provide analytical input and recommendations to Sales, Management and other relevant stakeholders based on pricing and commercial data.
  • Ensure consistency and transparency of pricing calculations across products, customers and business areas.
  • Establish and maintain pricing-related data, calculation models, documentation and supporting analyses.
  • Coordinate pricing topics with Finance, Controlling, Purchasing, Sales, Product Management, R&D, Project Management and other relevant functions.
  • Support the preparation of management reports, pricing analyses and presentations.
  • Present pricing analyses, calculation results and recommendations to internal stakeholders and management when required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization and automation within global pricing activities.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of global pricing processes, tools, methodologies and guidelines.
  • Participate in cross-functional and international projects related to pricing, commercial processes and sales support.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, pricing governance and applicable commercial guidelines.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for assigned pricing topics and provide guidance to relevant internal stakeholders.
Qualifications

Experiences and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Controlling, Engineering or another relevant field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Pricing, Sales, Commercial Management, Controlling, Sales Support or a comparable analytical/commercial function.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or another manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with cost calculations, pricing, commercial analysis or customer negotiations is an advantage.
  • Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment is preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills with strong ability to work with complex datasets and pricing calculations.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP ERP or comparable ERP systems.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong ability to work with pricing databases, calculation tools and commercial reporting systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent English
  • German or another European language is an advantage.
