Original job description
We're the world's leading consumer healthcare platform, supporting millions of patients across the US, Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, Spain and Canada.
We're driven by the belief that good health should last a lifetime, and that to get there we need to deliver the personalised, high quality and empathetic care that the traditional system cannot support.
You'll partner with our care teams of prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists and dietitians to support patients across preventative health, weight management and specific women's and men's health conditions.
We joined Hims & Hers so that you can do all of the above on a bigger scale, with more ambition, a stronger global brand and the resources to deliver care to patients in dozens of countries.
We're looking for people who appreciate and are excited by the enormity and uniqueness of this challenge, and want to work in the most ambitious, smart, fast moving and positive sum environment of their lives to transform how healthcare is delivered globally.
We hope that's you.
About the roleYou’ll turn performance data and customer insight into the words, hooks, and concepts that make Hims & Hers’ paid creative work. You’ll sit in the Growth creative team, working daily with media buyers, producers, video editors and UGC creators, and you’ll be the person who makes sure every brief is sharp enough to go straight into production.
What you’ll be doing
- Write scripts, hooks, headlines, and briefs for short-form video and static ads across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube that editors and creators can execute without a second conversation.
- Turn performance data (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA) and customer insight into testable creative hypotheses, and run the weekly testing roadmap.
- Own the path from brief to live: brief videographers, producers, UGC creators and editors, review cuts, and be the quality gate before anything launches.
- Meet weekly with media buyers to diagnose why creative won or fatigued, then feed those learnings straight into the next round of briefs.
- Track competitors, platform trends, and what’s working in health, wellness, and DTC, and bring new angles to the team each week.
- Write within the rules for regulated health advertising, partnering with clinical and compliance colleagues so great creative also ships safely.
- 6+ years in creative strategy, performance copywriting, or direct-response advertising; DTC, subscription, or health experience is a strong advantage.
- An exceptional writer. You can show scripts and copy that drove results, with a clear voice, sharp hooks, and plain English.
- Fluent in performance metrics and able to explain, with data rather than instinct, why a creative won or lost.
- You write for the edit. You understand video pacing, UGC, talking-head and lo-fi formats, and how a script translates into shots.
- You’ve owned a creative testing roadmap (not just contributed to one) and worked directly with media buyers.
- Comfortable with high volume, fast feedback, and ambiguity in a scaling team.
- Experience in a regulated category such as health, gambling, or financial services.
- Hands-on use of AI tools in ideation, scripting, or versioning workflows.
