Job Description

As Corporate Operations Controller, you will serve as the key finance business partner to the COO and Operations Leadership Team, supporting strategic decision-making across manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics, quality, and supply chain operations. Combining business partnering with deep operations controlling expertise, you will drive global standards, performance transparency, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, working capital, and business performance across the Group.

To build a strong understanding of operational realities and foster close collaboration with key stakeholders, you will regularly visit production sites and operations teams across the Group, primarily within Europe and occasionally in the US and China. Travel will be around 20% to 30%.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the COO and Operations Leadership Team, providing financial insights, performance analysis, business cases, and decision support for manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, network design, and footprint optimization initiatives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and performance reporting for Corporate Operations, while monitoring operational and financial KPIs and driving improvement actions.
  • Own and continuously enhance global standard costing, inventory control, plant performance measurement, and operations controlling standards, policies, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive transparency and performance improvement across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, inventory, productivity, forecast accuracy, working capital, and supply chain operations.
  • Act as the finance lead for operational transformation projects, defining KPIs, reporting requirements, and performance measures across SAP, planning, consolidation, and BI systems.
  • Strengthen the Group Controlling community through training, best-practice sharing, continuous improvement initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in Operations Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Manufacturing Finance, or Controlling within a global industrial or manufacturing environment, including experience at local production site/ factory level.
  • Strong expertise in standard costing, budgeting, variance analysis, inventory management, procurement finance, performance management, and working capital optimization.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to connect operational and financial performance and identify value creation opportunities.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted partnerships, and communicate complex topics clearly across functions and geographies.
  • Experience leading international, cross-functional projects and driving operational or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP (preferably S/4HANA), planning and consolidation systems, and business intelligence tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CMA, Lean/Six Sigma, or Project Management qualifications are advantageous. Fluent English required; German and French are a plus.
